What is a Sound Bath?
Attending a sound bath affects the many layers of our being. We leave feeling deeply relaxed & rebalanced.
Sound healing is highly effective at triggering our relaxation response and treating many ailments. The sound vibrations produced by the sound healing instruments penetrate deep into our tissues, improving blood circulation, metabolism & regulates muscle tension. Certain frequencies target different areas of the body.
Sound healing is an effective tool to help regulate and control our brain waves for better health, higher performance and a more positive experience of life. Sound therapy retrains our brain waves into a theta meditative state and this is where the deep healing happens.
Theta state is associated with increased creativity, stress reduction, restfulness and contentment. Receiving regular sound baths can prolong these benefits leading to greater health outcomes.

What to expect?
Each sound bath uses the unique 10-step process that The Sound Healing Academy proudly teaches. The Integral sound healing process is proven to be highly effective form of vibrational energy medicine and is designed to bring about deep relaxation, release old habitual habits and supports the development of creativity and change. Integral sound healing honours the 5 elements of consciousness; the many aspects of our being- body, emotions, mind, soul & spirit and designed the 10-step process to heal & transform.
You will enter into a warm, candle lit room and lie down on a slim futon with a bolster under your knees. Gentle music will be played as you set your intention for your own healing, change & transformation. I will ask you to keep this intention loosely in your mind as you receive the healing sounds.
When receiving a sound bath you may experience memories, imagery, inspirations or you may simply go into a deep restful state. All you need to do is to listen to the sounds and observe the moments of reflection within the silence. Be inquisitive to anything that arises.

Client After Care
If you feel ungrounded at the end of a sound healing session, try to eat or drink something. Often I will hand around a little square of 70% chocolate to bring you back to your senses. Do wait until you are more alert before driving.
After a sound healing session, be gentle with your self, take things easy, go for a gentle walk and avoid stressful situations.
Its best to avoid alcohol and any chemical toxins for the next 24hrs. Your body and mind are still processing their own things to eliminate after receiving the sound bath.
Please drink plenty of water to support the release of toxins in the body and help flush them out.
There are no official recognised side effects of sound healing.
Sometimes during or after a sound bath, you may experience a worsening of symptoms before they get better. See this as a healing process.
In the unlikely event that a healing reaction does happen, you can contact me to discuss. If you are worried or the situation needs a closer attention, please contact your doctor.
If you have any questions, please contact me at clairenbest@hotmail.com
To make your sound healing session effects last longer, do follow our sound based recommendations given at the end of the session.
